Nothing says its first AI-native product arrives in December

Nothing, the company behind the Nothing Phone, is preparing an artificial intelligence product whose exact form has not been disclosed. On Wednesday, CEO Carl Pei said on X that the company’s first “AI-native product” will ship in December.

Pei described the device as a productivity tool designed with the personality and care associated with Nothing products. He said it would not have a new screen and could not have been an app, leaving the product’s category unclear. The company has not announced a firm release date.

Nothing has previously said it plans to introduce AI-linked smart glasses and earbuds with AI integrations. However, Pei appeared to distinguish the upcoming product from the consumer devices often discussed as potential milestones for AI, including pendants, pins, glasses and companions. He said he viewed the current stage of the market differently from the industry’s search for an “iPhone moment.” More details are expected before the December launch.
