Claude for Legal now verifies sources automatically, then hands the file to a lawyer

Anthropic is expanding Claude Enterprise for legal professionals with pre-built templates. The company introduced new "artifacts" for Claude for Legal, features legal teams have requested since its May launch. These interactive overviews and tables streamline routine tasks like verifying citations, comparing laws across countries, managing case files, tracking proposed legislation, and checking contracts against internal guidelines. The model handles initial verification and links each statement to its original source before a lawyer reviews the results.

More than 60 integrations in the legal directory, including Bloomberg Law, let users connect their own databases without manual uploads. Law firms and providers like Goodwin, Harvey, Foley & Lardner, and PwC also offer their own tools on the platform. Built-in settings enforce data protection rules and maintain client-required information barriers between teams, Anthopic claims.
